# Yellow code for heavy rain and wind: sleet is expected in the north

> Meteorologists issued a yellow code of heavy rains and wind for the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova. The warning comes into effect on Friday, November 17 at 8:00 PM and is in effect until November 19 at 12:00 AM.

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, during the mentioned period heavy rains (15-35 l/m2) are expected in the southern half,  in the north with sleet. Northeast wind in gusts of up to 15-20 m/s, up to 21-24 m/s, is expected over extended areas.
