**Memories from his hometown**

Sadovnic spent his childhood in Susleni, Orhei district, where locals joined together with guitars to sing his songs.

*"He was an exceptionally talented musician, a poet, and a generous soul,"* said Andrei Boldurat, director of the Susleni Cultural Center. *"People like him are irreplaceable."*

Childhood friends remembered him as an approachable figure who filled the village streets with song, drawing youth toward his passion for music.

**A lasting cultural legacy**

Visitors traveled from across the country to attend the tribute. Tatiana Blaga, a visitor from Peresecina, shared that she grew up listening to Sadovnic's music, tracing his career from early collaborations with legendary acts like Contemporanul to his solo career.

The event featured a retrospective exhibition displaying Sadovnic's personal items, stage costumes, records, and vintage radios on loan from the Susleni Cultural Center.

Born in 1951 in Jura, Râbnița district, Iurie Sadovnic was named a People's Artist and awarded the prestigious Order of the Republic. Though he passed away in June 2021, his songs remain a cornerstone of national heritage.
