# Moldova Baccalaureate 2026: 129 lyceums achieve 100% pass rate

A total of 129 theoretical lyceums achieved a 100% pass rate in the 2026 Moldovan National Baccalaureate examination. Official performance rankings show that 33 of these institutions recorded an overall graduate grade point average above 8.00.

Data from the Ministry of Education and Research confirms consistent high performance across the country. While the number of schools with a flawless pass rate remained steady compared to last year's 130 institutions, the count of top-performing lyceums averaging above 8.00 rose significantly from 23 to 33.

**Stronger academic results**

The final results of the 2026 session highlight a broader trend of academic growth. The number of graduates securing a perfect 10.0 score reached 114, up from 89 in 2025.

Education officials also reported an overall increase in the number of candidates scoring above 7.00, 8.00, and 9.00. National Curriculum and Evaluation Agency Director Lilia Ivanov praised the dedication of teachers and students, reaffirming the state's commitment to objective, performance-driven testing.

**Exam demographic breakdown**

A total of 364 educational institutions participated in this year's examination cycle, including 312 theoretical lyceums, 47 colleges, and five higher education institutions.

Out of 18,437 admitted candidates, high school graduates accounted for 11,887. The remaining cohort included 3,917 students from colleges and centers of excellence, 243 university students, 551 external candidates, and 1,839 repeat applicants from previous sessions.
