Ana Revenco announced her decision to end her mandate as the director of the Center for Strategic Communication and Countering Disinformation. She highlighted that she built this institution from the ground up starting in 2023. According to her, the center is currently functioning well, and the organizational model developed in the Republic of Moldova is being studied as a model of good practices.

"Today, as I conclude my term as director, I can say that the Center has become a functional institution with a professional team and clear operational mechanisms. The model we developed in Chisinau is currently being analyzed in Brussels and other countries as an example from which they can adopt and adapt solutions," stated Ana Revenco in a message shared on her social media.

She highlighted that she took on this role during a period when the Republic of Moldova was experiencing intensified information attacks and lacked a similar model to follow.

According to Ana Revenco, the Center's work was guided by a proactive approach that involves not only responding to disinformation campaigns but also monitoring risks, anticipating attacks, identifying vulnerabilities, and coordinating the responses of state institutions.

Additionally, she noted that the institution has played a crucial role in protecting democratic processes and ensuring that the Republic of Moldova remains on its European path.

At the end of her term, she expressed her gratitude to her colleagues and partners who contributed to the institution's development. She also warned that hybrid wars will continue to be a challenge for the Republic of Moldova.

*"The hybrid wars of the modern era are not coming to an end. Instead, they are constantly evolving in terms of forms, tools, and methods. Our country will continue to encounter new threats and challenges that are difficult to predict,"* Revenco stated.

She concluded by mentioning that she will remain engaged in projects aimed at strengthening democracy and advancing the European path of the Republic of Moldova.

The Center for Strategic Communication and Countering Disinformation was established in July 2023 at the initiative of President Maia Sandu. Its purpose is to enhance inter-institutional cooperation in combating disinformation, information manipulation, and foreign interference.

Ana Revenco has been appointed as the Director for a term of one year, which was extended in October 2024.

Prior to this role, Revenco served as the Minister of Internal Affairs during the administrations of Natalia Gavrilița and Dorin Recean. Additionally, she was an Advisor to President Maia Sandu for National Defense and Security and acted as the Secretary of the Supreme Security Council from January to September 2021.
