This morning, hundreds of passengers were evacuated from "Eugen Doga" International Airport in Chisinau following a bomb alert that was reported around 4:30 a.m. The Border Police and specialized units from the Ministry of Internal Affairs responded to the situation, resulting in a temporary suspension of the airport's operations.

The specialized teams have completed their checks, and fortunately, the alert was not confirmed. The airport has resumed normal operations, allowing passengers to continue their travels.

According to the Border Police, after the alert was triggered, both passengers and airport employees were evacuated, and check-in procedures were temporarily suspended. Travellers were advised to check the status of their flights, as the intervention caused changes to the schedule.

At 6:15 AM, authorities announced that security checks were still ongoing, and access to the terminal and check-in procedures remained suspended.

Later, after completing the checks, the alert was lifted, and by 7:30 AM, the airport was back to normal operations.
