During the first half of 2026, the most common complaints were about inadequate services and non-conforming non-food products. Additionally, the number of petitions rose significantly to 1,275—an increase of nearly 80% compared with the same period in the previous year.

The State Inspectorate for Supervision of Non-Food Products and Consumer Protection (ISSPNPC) reports that in the first half of 2026, a total of 1,275 petitions and complaints were submitted by citizens. This marks a significant increase of 77.8% over the first six months of 2025, when only 717 petitions were recorded.

The primary reasons for the complaints were as follows:

- Non-compliant services: 572 complaints
- Non-compliant non-food products: 428 complaints
- Violations of trade rules, including food products and public catering services: 212 complaints
- Issues related to metrology and petroleum products: 63 complaints

Compared to the first half of 2025, the most notable increase occurred in the category of non-compliant services, which saw 296 additional petitions, reflecting a 107% rise. Additionally, complaints related to trade rule compliance rose by 94 cases, representing a 78% increase.

Consumers in the Republic of Moldova can now submit online complaints directly to traders through the government platform eDemocrație.

If a complaint is not resolved, users can easily submit petitions to the relevant authorities without leaving the online portal.

This pilot platform aims to serve as a single point of digital interaction between consumers, traders, and public institutions responsible for protecting consumer rights.

Users will be able to navigate the entire process of resolving a complaint online—from addressing it to the trader to, if necessary, notifying the appropriate authority.

The Teleradio-Moldova team has provided guidance on using this platform. For more details, you can visit this [link](https://moldova1.md/p/82819/reclamatii-online-direct-la-comercianti-cum-isi-pot-face-dreptate-consumatorii-din-r-moldova).
