# "Made in Moldova" products: 20 Moldovan companies at the Chestnut Festival in Baia Mare

> Over 20 companies from the Republic of Moldova are currently showcasing their products in the Romanian municipality of Baia Mare as part of the fifth edition of the "Republic of Moldova Presents" exhibition. The event opened on Friday, September 18, at the "Lascăr Pană" Sports Hall and runs until September 20, coinciding with the Chestnut Festival.

Over 20 companies from the Republic of Moldova are currently showcasing their products in the Romanian municipality of Baia Mare as part of the fifth edition of the "Republic of Moldova Presents" exhibition. The event opened on Friday, September 18, at the "Lascăr Pană" Sports Hall and runs until September 20, coinciding with the Chestnut Festival.

At the exhibition, visitors can find everything from various cheeses, pastries, honey, and bee products to wines, dried fruits, sweets, and cold-pressed oils.

The range of products offered by companies from the Republic of Moldova is complemented by essential oils, natural cosmetics, jewelry, textiles, and handicrafts.

"In 2026, we mark the 10th anniversary of launching the 'Republic of Moldova Presents' project in Romania. What does it present? We all know—the very best our country has to offer," said Viorica Cazacu, Head of the Business Events, Fairs, and Exhibitions Department at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Republic of Moldova.

According to the CCI representative, Moldovan companies that participate in such exhibitions can showcase their products directly to consumers in Romania and raise awareness of their brands in the Romanian market.

The "Republic of Moldova Presents" project launched in 2016 in Iași to promote Moldovan producers and products in Romania.

Over its ten years of activity, the exhibition has toured several Romanian cities, including Iași, Brașov, Ploiești, Vaslui, and Cluj-Napoca.

This year's edition in Baia Mare is taking place as part of the Chestnut Festival, one of the municipality's traditional events. This gives participating companies the opportunity to showcase their products to a wider audience and to engage with the public and the local business community.

The exhibition is open to visitors until September 20 at the "Lascăr Pană" Sports Hall. The event is organized with the support of the Maramureș Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development, and the Maramureș County Council.
