# National Wine Day: Downtown Chișinău traffic restrictions, October 2-5

> Drivers passing through the capital's city center will need to avoid several main streets between October 2 and 5. Road traffic will be temporarily suspended for preparations for and the celebration of National Wine Day.

Drivers passing through the capital's city center will need to avoid several main streets between October 2 and 5. Road traffic will be temporarily suspended for preparations for and the celebration of National Wine Day.

According to a directive from Chisinau City Hall, traffic restrictions will apply to the following sections:

From October 2 to 5, between **17:00 and 05:00**, traffic will be suspended on Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Boulevard—specifically the section between Aleksandr Pushkin str. and Maria Cebotari str;

From October 2 to 5, between **22:00 and 03:00**, traffic will be suspended on Metropolitan G. Banulescu-Bodoni str.—specifically the section between Columna str. and 31 August 1989 str.

The police advise drivers to avoid the aforementioned streets during the specified times, to use alternative routes, and to comply with the instructions of traffic officers.

The 25th edition of National Wine Day will take place under the slogan *"The Wine That Unites Us"* and will focus on the visitor experience, promoting wineries, and celebrating winemaking culture.

Organizers estimate that the event will attract approximately 200,000 visitors this year.

Participants can discover products from 114 wineries—from family-run businesses to major producers—at the Great National Assembly Square.

Wines produced by students from the Technical University of Moldova, as well as by students from vocational schools in Leova and Nisporeni, will also be showcased.

The activities scheduled for October 3 and 4 include masterclasses at the *Wine School*, guided tours, tastings, performances, and other cultural events, including forming the world's largest human grapevine.

For the second time in the history of the Republic of Moldova, our country will enter the Guinness Book of World Records by creating a human grapevine of impressive scale.

Event participants will form this symbolic shape: the root will point toward the Triumphal Arch, while the upper part will face the Government building.
