Olaf Scholz, Chancellor of Germany: "EPC Summit is a confirmation that Moldova is not alone and that it has the support of Europe"
"Moldova is not alone and has the support of Europe!" – said the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, who confirmed his presence at the Summit of the European Political Community (EPC) on June 1, in the Republic of Moldova. The event will bring together 50 heads of state, prime ministers and European officials, who will discuss solutions to Europe's most pressing problems, such as peace, security and energy resilience.
In his message, the German official reiterated his support for our country, stressing that the summit will reunite the great European family in the Republic of Moldova, and the countries that are part of the EPC opt for peaceful cooperation, economic prosperity, respect for human rights and support for democracy.
"On June 1, the European family will gather in Moldova - a family that is united in the fight for peaceful cooperation, for economic prosperity, for human rights and for democracy. We believe that war no longer has a place in Europe. We are addressing those who are suffering from aggression and threats from Moscow. This is the strong message that the Summit of the European Political Community will convey. This is why Moldova has all our support. This is why Moldova is not alone", said Olaf Scholz.
The Republic of Moldova is the host of the European Political Community Summit, which will take place on June 1, 2023, bringing together, for the first time, 50 presidents, prime ministers and senior European officials. The summit is held in Bulboaca village, Anenii Noi district, located approximately 35 kilometers away from Chisinau.
The European Political Community is a pan-European governmental forum established last year, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, serving as a platform that brings together European leaders to discuss and to identify solutions for Europe's most pressing problems, such as security, stability and energy resilience.
