The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that two Moldovan citizens died in a road accident in Poland

Two Moldovans died on the spot, and two others are hospitalized for medical care, after the minibus they were in was hit by a truck in Poland. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE).

"MAEIE, through the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Warsaw, notified itself and urgently ordered the verification of the information related to the road accident on the S8 highway near the town of Żabikowo Rządowe in the Voivodeship of Podlasie and the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova of the victims of the accident", reads the institution's statement. According to the Polish authorities, the accident occurred on Monday afternoon, when a truck hit a minibus registered in the Republic of Moldova with six people on board: five Moldovan citizens and a Ukrainian citizen. "Following the impact, two people, Moldovan citizens, died on the spot. Two other people, Moldovan citizens, are hospitalized for medical treatment. A Moldovan citizen did not suffer, being discharged from the hospital at this time", announces the MAEIE.
