Canada to sanction Russian oligarchs meddling in Moldova's affairs
Canada will sanction Russian oligarchs trying to meddle with Moldova's affairs, the country's Foreign Affairs minister Melanie Joly said on Thursday, Reuters reports.

The list includes five people: the leader of the Şor Party, Ilan Şor, the deputy of the same formation, Marina Tauber, the fugitive businessman and former politician Vlad Plahotniuc, the leader of the PACE Party, Gheorghe Cavcaliuc and the Russian businessman Igor Ciaika, considered a close associate of the former president and leader of the Socialist Party, Igor Dodon.
The author of the initiative, Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu, welcomed this decision.
