Maia Sandu, visiting Sipoteni: "I talked to the people about the situation in the country"

The situation in the country, the problems of the Sipoteni locality, but also the development plans of the government of the Republic of Moldova were discussed by the president of the country, Maia Sandu, during a meeting with the residents of Sipoteni, Călărași district, Tuesday, December 13.

"I told them that keeping the peace is our main concern and that we will continue to do everything for the safety of the citizens. We also discussed the country's energy vulnerabilities, and what we need to do to become energy independent in the future. In Sipoteni, people are convinced that European integration is the surest way for the peaceful and prosperous development of the Republic of Moldova", President Maia Sandu wrote on her Facebook page.

The head of state claims that the prosperity of the communities in the Republic of Moldova starts from each individual.

"By providing the local power with the conditions for business development, which will lead to the creation of jobs and the increase of income to local budgets; by continuing national investment programs, such as the "European Village"; by attracting external funds for development", said Maia Sandu.

Along with the Moldovan people, the country's president assures, in these "difficult times" caused by the war, there are external partners who support the Republic of Moldova in development projects and in the energy crisis.

Part of this support is found in compensation on energy bills. Through solidarity at the national and international level we will manage to overcome this difficult period", concluded the president Maia Sandu.
