"We are aware that some processes are taking longer and that we want everything to happen more quickly, but things are already moving. The other days, the European Union announced the sanctioning of some Moldovan citizens who threatened the stability and security of our country. The European Union helps us stop those who want to destabilize the country and block our future. All those who impoverished and betrayed the national interest over the years will answer to the law. And on June 1, the whole world saw that the Republic of Moldova is not alone, it can enjoy strong partners in our European journey", said Igor Grosu.

The Parliament Speaker also mentioned that the Italian diaspora has always been active and involved in the most decisive moments for the fate of the Republic of Moldova.

"And now, on May 21, hundreds of Moldovans from different cities of Italy, said bluntly that Moldova is European and that our country's place is among the free countries of the European Union", added Igor Grosu.

We remind you that the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, is on a visit to Italy, from June 4-7, together with MPs Galina Sajin and Mihai Druță.

The agenda of the visit includes meetings with the president of the Italian Senate, Ignazio La Russa, and the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana. Also, the Moldovan officials will talk with the parliamentarians from the foreign policy commissions in the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, as well as with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edmondo Cirielli.

Also, Igor Grosu will participate in the inauguration of the Moldovan-Italian Parliamentary Friendship Group, which was recently established in the Italian Parliament.
