War in Ukraine // Russia attacked Odessa with cruise missiles. Three people were killed

Russia launched a rocket attack on the city of Odessa on Tuesday night, Ukraine's Southern Command announced Wednesday. Three people were killed and at least 13 wounded, authorities in the region said.

Russia fired four Kalibr cruise missiles at the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa. Two of the missiles were shot down by Ukrainian air defences, Hotnews.co.uk reports.

A shopping centre, an educational institution, a housing complex and shops in the city centre were destroyed in the shelling, Unian.net reports.

A missile hit a commercial warehouse, causing damage to an area of 1,000 square metres and a fire to an area of 400 square metres

Three warehouse employees died.

The rescue operation is currently underway. It is believed that there may be people under the rubble.
