Roberta Metsola: "We offer another 145 million euros to support the reforms of the Republic of Moldova"
The European Union offered the Republic of Moldova 145 million euros as macro-financial assistance. The announcement was made by the President of the European Parliament (EP), Roberta Metsola.
"Three weeks ago, in Chisinau, I told the Moldovans that they are not alone. Today, we are offering another 145 million euros to support the reforms of the Republic of Moldova. The future of Moldova is in the European Union", she wrote.
A month ago, the EP voted to increase the macro-financial assistance of the EU for the Republic of Moldova by another 145 million euros, the total amount thus reaching 295 million euros.
The 145 million euro increase in macro-financial assistance for the Republic of Moldova includes 100 million euro in the form of low-interest loans and 45 million euro in the form of grants, to cover part of the external financial needs of Chisinau in 2023.
