The Republic of Moldova will be able to access non-reimbursable European funds for infrastructure
The Republic of Moldova will be able to access non-reimbursable European funds to finance infrastructure projects in the fields of transport, energy and digital. Parliament voted in first reading on the ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union on the participation of our country in the European Union's "Connecting Europe Facility" programme.
Our country's association with the EU's "Connecting Europe Facility" programme will help facilitate cross-border cooperation in the field of renewable energy. At the same time, this EU financial mechanism will facilitate the development of projects of common interest for efficient, safe and secure transport infrastructure and the implementation of high-capacity digital networks.
The Agreement between the Republic of Moldova, on the one hand, and the European Union, on the other hand, on the participation of the Republic of Moldova in the Union programme "Connecting Europe Facility" was signed in Chisinau on 9 May 2023. The ratification of this agreement was voted by 62 MPs at first reading.
