LIVE // The government convenes a session: The agreement with the US on air transport, on the agenda

The members of the Cabinet of Ministers meet in session. The agenda includes 25 draft decisions. Among them - agreements with France, Germany and IBRD regarding the financing of some projects in the Republic of Moldova.

Also, the Government will approve an agreement with the United States of America regarding air transport. The implementation of this agreement, signed in May 2023, will contribute to the opening of the air services market in the Republic of Moldova and the diversification of destinations from Chisinau International Airport, facilitating access to North American markets.

Another decision concerns the approval of the Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which provides for the amendment of the Agreement on the activity of railway transport.

The Draft Decision provides for the modification of the logistics chains by redirecting the transport of goods from the road segment to the rail segment, reducing the load on national roads, implicitly it will lead to an increase in the volumes of goods in transit through the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

30 rescuers from the Republic of Moldova participated in a search and rescue operations training program

A team of 30 rescuers from the Republic of Moldova recently participated in a basic training program dedicated to urban search and rescue team training. The training activities were guided by six experts from the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency. During the courses, the Moldovan rescuers were familiarized with the good practices and experiences gained by their colleagues from Turkey. The course completion ceremony ended with the handing out of qualification certificates and diplomas of merit.
