One more natural gas transportation route will be available for the Republic of Moldova
Another natural gas transportation route will be available for the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Energy announces.
At the request of the Moldovan authorities, the regulatory authority in the field of energy in Ukraine started the procedure for approving the entry tariff at the Oleksiivka interconnection point, on the direction from Moldova to Ukraine.
"The operationalization of the given route offers new opportunities both for international traders who intend to capitalize on the route from the South (where important sources of natural gas are currently concentrated - the Southern Corridor: Azerbaijan, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria) to the North - to the underground storage deposits of natural gas in Ukraine, which are the largest in Europe", informs the Ministry of Energy.
At the same time, the institution states that through this route our country has the opportunity to become an important transit corridor and contribute to increasing the energy security of Central and Eastern Europe.
