Mihailo Podoliak, for Moldova 1 TV: "Putin does not control anything"
The European Union approved a new package of military support for Ukraine - three and a half billion euros through the European peace mechanism. Ukraine must be helped now, in the context in which Russia cannot withstand the pressure of war. The failed Wagner insurrection is still causing concern in Brussels that nuclear-armed Russia may descend into chaos, European foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said.

On the other hand, the presidential adviser from Kiev, Mihailo Podoliak, told Moldova 1 that the episode is not over, the Putin regime prooved that it is weak and will generate even more chaos.
"I think it is now more important than ever to continue to support Ukraine, because what happened over the weekend shows that the war against Ukraine is destroying Russia's power and is affecting its political system. We are certainly watching closely what is happening, but now is the time to continue our support for Ukraine more than ever, and that is what we will do. It is not a good sign to see a nuclear power like Russia enter a phase of political instability. We have to take that into account as well," said the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell.
Even if it failed, the Wagner military insurrection may trigger other attempts to seize power, either from within the system or through street protests, because the weakness of the Putin regime was exposed.
In an interview for Moldova 1 TV, the presidential adviser from Kiev, Mihailo Podoliak, said that the coup episode is not over, the Putin regime proved that it is weak and will generate even more chaos.
"As for Wagner, I wouldn't say it's over, in fact, I think there will be a continuation. Wagner is no longer loyal to the regime, namely the Putin regime, I do not mean the Russian state. It is hard to believe that Wagner would be interested in returning to a war that was already over for him. Now the Russian state looks weakened to the max. It is a very important aspect because, on Saturday and Sunday, another myth was destroyed - that Putin is really a leader who controls the internal situation in the Russian Federation, he does not control anything, we understand that very well. Like Prigozhin's reputation, Putin's reputation has been reduced to zero and he is more of a person who will generate chaos. The overthrow of power can be repeated at any time", concluded Mihailo Podoliak.
