Dorin Recean had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Liechtenstein and representatives of the Google corporation
Cooperation opportunities with the signing of the Free Trade Agreement with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) was one of the topics of the discussion between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and the Prime Minister of Liechtenstein, Daniel Risch. The Chief Executive from Chisinau pointed that this document "means more trade, more investments, more opportunities for our people".
"I thanked for the projects already implemented through the Development Service of Liechtenstein, which this year marks 15 years since its launch in the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, I welcomed Liechtenstein's alignment with the EU's decision to establish the regime of sanctions against individuals who try to destabilize the situation in our country," wrote Dorin Recean on his Facebook page.
The prime minister also had a meeting with the country representatives of the Google corporation, the largest headquarters in Europe, which has over 5000 employees, including Moldovan citizens.
"We discussed the company's initiatives that can contribute to the advancement of digital infrastructure, the expansion of connectivity and the promotion of digital literacy in our country. We focused on investment opportunities in research and innovation, which will encourage the development of start-ups and the technological industry in Moldova. I emphasized the importance of creating quality higher education institutions, such as UTM, with an emphasis on research and development. This would create an environment conducive to innovation and cutting-edge technology in our country."
