The Memorandum of Understanding between the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the French Legislature was signed in Chisinau. What are the provisions of the document
The Republic of Moldova and France signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the parliaments of the two states. During a press conference, the president of the Legislature from Chisinau, Igor Grosu, stated that the signing of this document aims to deepen and strengthen bilateral relations at the parliamentary level.
"We will deepen the activities of the parliamentary friendship groups, we will collaborate between the parliamentary committees, especially between those responsible for foreign affairs, European affairs and defense which would allow the deepening of major and current topics for both legislatures", stated Igor Grosu.
At the same time, says the head of the Legislature from Chisinau, after the signing of this Memorandum, the authorities will organize meetings and joint activities and will cooperate in harmonizing the national legislation of the Republic of Moldova with the EU legislation.
"We are committed to intensifying our collaboration within the delegations of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization"
The signing of this memorandum proves to us one more time that the Republic of Moldova is not alone, Igor Grosu said.
"We have simple and reliable friends like France, who accept that the future of the Republic of Moldova is in the European Union, that Moldovan citizens are European and that they must enjoy better living conditions and more security".
