Two people, documented after they wanted to leave the country with fake driver's licenses
Two people are being investigated by the border police after they tried to leave the Republic of Moldova with fake documents. The incidents were recorded at the Leușeni-Albita and Giurgiulești-Galați crossing points.
In one case, a young man from the Republic of Moldova is documented, a passenger of a means of transport on the "Moldova-Germany" route. Based on the risk analysis, the man was subjected to additional checks. Thus, IGPF employees found a driver's license which, preliminarily, would be forged.
The second person under investigation is a citizen of Ukraine. He showed up at the checkpoint driving his personal car. While checking the documents, the border guards found that the driver's license had signs of forgery. The man was removed from driving the vehicle.
According to the Border Police, the investigation continues into the crime of using and possessing false official documents.
