Chisinau local elections: DA Platform announced its candidate
The Dignity and Truth Platform (DA) announced today its candidate for the local elections in the municipality of Chisinau. It is about the former vice mayor of Chisinau, Victor Chironda.
"I dedicated my professional activity to the development of this city. I know that European cities are comfortable to live in, and Chisinau must strive to become a European city. My motivation to participate in these elections is simple: I want to reform the City Hall and to prove that the city can develop in a way that makes life more comfortable and full of opportunities for businesses, for jobs, families with children and young people who want opportunities and conditions here at home", declared Victor Chironda.
We remind you that so far Lilian Carp from PAS, Ion Bulgac from the Coalition for Unity and Welfare, Anatol Usatîi from the Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova, Vasile Costiuc - the leader of the "Democracy at Home" Party, Ion Ceban - the current mayor of the capital, Ruslan Codreanu - the leader of the "People's Power" Party, Tatiana Bordeianu - head of the foreign policy and European integration department from the "Building Europe at Home" Party have announced their intention to run for mayor.
Municipal councilor Ruslan Verbițchi joined the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) and suggested that he could run, and the Bloc of Communists and Socialists will choose its candidate between ex-president Igor Dodon and deputy Vlad Batrîncea. The civic activist Mihail Bagas announced that he wants to join the race for the seat of mayor of Chisinau.
We remind that the date of the general local elections is to be determined by the Central Electoral Commission in the meeting on Tuesday, July 4.
