Parliament convenes a session. What subjects will the deputies examine
MPs will examine two draft laws to adjust national legislation with EU legislation in the field of competition and safety and health at work. Also, in the second reading, the state tax law project will be discussed, as well as the project that provides for the adjustment of the budgetary-fiscal policy by amending 16 laws. The draft law on the Center for Strategic Communication and Combating Disinformation and the legislative initiative to amend the Audiovisual Media Services Code appear on the agenda of the plenary sessions in the next period.
Also, the Parliament is to ratify the agreements with the World Bank regarding the financial assistance of about 60 million euros for the modernization of the education system. During the plenary sessions of the next period, the draft law representing the third stage of the vetting mechanism and the last stage of the reform of the justice system is to be approved. In the second reading, the deputies will also examine projects to amend the legislation on public-private partnership and the administration of public property, the simplification of the procedure for drawing up and approving the annual Land Cadastre, amendments to the Criminal Code and the Fiscal Code.
Also at today's meeting, the Standing Bureau approved a supplement to the agenda of the plenary session of the Parliament on July 7. The drafts of ratification of financial assistance offered for the agricultural sector and for development policies, as well as the denunciation of some documents concluded on the CIS platform, were included for examination. At the same time, the deputies will debate the draft of the withdrawal of the Republic of Moldova from the International Sugar Agreement. In the first reading, the projects that provide for the external evaluation of judges and prosecutors and the modification of the normative framework related to the reform of the Supreme Court of Justice are to be discussed.
