The member of an organized criminal group specialized in computer attacks was detained at the Otaci state border crossing point. According to the police, the 36-year-old man presented himself at the border control with a Ukrainian passport.

However, during the processing of the passport data and further verification, the border police found that the man is in fact a citizen of Azerbaijan and, in the INTERPOL database, he is listed as internationally wanted.

He was placed in the preventive detention cell of the Edineț Police Inspectorate, and today the border police ensured his transfer to Chisinau for the continuation of the investigations and the taking of the necessary legal measures.

According to the agenda approved by the Standing Bureau, the Parliament is to ratify an agreement that provides for Canada to offer a loan to the Republic of Moldova in the amount of 120 million Canadian dollars, the equivalent of over one and a half billion lei. The money will be used to strengthen the resilience of households, including refugees, but also to support climate resilience and the transition to green energy. On the agenda is also a project to adjust the national regulatory framework with the provisions of the European Union legislation regarding contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services. At today's meeting, the appointment of some members of the Superior Council of Magistracy is also planned. These are Sergiu Băieșu and Tatiana Tabuncic.
