In the last 24 hours, 48 people were refused entry to Moldova

The General Inspectorate of Border Police announces that it has banned 48 people from entering the Republic of Moldova on 7 July. In total, at the border crossing points, the flow of persons amounted to 60,953 crossings, with a higher number being recorded on the way out of the Republic of Moldova - 30,889 crossings.

"With reference to border crossings by Ukrainian citizens, a total number of 14,333 crossings was recorded, of which 7,390 on the way into Moldova. At the same time, the number of 2,850 were crossings of Ukrainian minors," the Border Police statement said.

The most requested points were at the border with Romania - 36,131 crossings, at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border 16,015 crossings were reported and another 8,807 crossings - air border.

Border inspectors advise travellers to consult the Border Police Hotline (022 259 717) or to check the situation at border crossing points online (http://border.gov.md/camere-web) before setting off.
