Producers from the Republic of Moldova will be able to export their agricultural production to the EU tax-free for another year
For one more year, our producers will export plums, grapes and other Moldovan agricultural products to the big European market, without taxes and quantitative restrictions. A decision to this effect was voted by the European Parliament.
"The liberalization of trade between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union has already had a positive impact on the Moldovan economy. Access to the European market, with greater openness and commercial possibilities, allowed Moldovan producers to promote and to sell their products in a competitive environment", the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization announced.
By extending this measure, the European Union continues to proove its commitment and support towards the Republic of Moldova.
We remind you that in June 2022, the European Union increased the export quotas for some Moldovan agricultural products. Thus, the export quotas for plums, grapes, apples, grape juice, cherries, tomatoes and garlic were increased.
