Volodymyr Zelensky says he has received security guarantees, including from countries outside the G7
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Thursday night that he has broad international support for the long-term strengthening of Ukraine's defense, including from countries that are not part of the G7, dpa and Agerpres report.

After the conclusion of the NATO summit in Lithuania on Wednesday, he said that "six countries have already joined the seven largest democracies in the world with which we have agreed on security guarantees". Zelenski mentioned Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Spain and the Czech Republic.
At the summit, Zelenskiy failed in his efforts to secure an invitation for Ukraine to join NATO. But he received pledges that the G7 would continue to help bolster Ukraine's defenses to deter future Russian attacks.
The G7 pact provides for long-term financial and military assistance to Ukraine, including modern equipment for the air and naval forces, dpa reports.
