Parliament of Ukraine approved the celebration of Christmas on December 25

The Supreme Rada in Kyiv voted on Friday in favor of changing the date on which Ukrainians celebrate Christmas and two other important holidays, reports RBC, quoted by Rador.

According to deputy Iaroslav Jelezniak, Christmas will be celebrated on December 25, instead of January 7, and Ukrainian Statehood Day will be celebrated on July 15, instead of July 28.

Also, according to the decision of Ukrainian deputies, the Day of Defenders of Ukraine will be marked on October 1, instead of October 14.

The laws will be promulgated after July 28 and will take effect from September 1, 2023.
