The South Korean president arrived in Ukraine. He visited Bucea and Irpeni
South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife, Kim Keon-hee, arrived on Saturday for an unannounced visit to Ukraine - according to Yonhap, citing the South Korean president's press service.
Yoon Suk-yeol has already visited the towns of Bucea and Irpin, in the Kyiv region. There will also be a meeting between the South Korean president and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky. Discussions between the two politicians will focus on additional assistance to Ukraine and the country's post-war reconstruction.
According to the BBC, so far, South Korea has only provided humanitarian and economic assistance to Ukraine, but in early May, President Yoon Seok-yeol, then on a visit to the United States, answered the question about the possibility of supplying weapons in Kiev that this option is being considered.
