An Israeli citizen detained by police: "He poses a danger to national security and public order"

A 36-year-old Israeli citizen was detained yesterday by the law enforcement officers. The individual is part of criminal structures and intended to prepare crimes in the IT field, scams and smuggling of money, obtained through criminal means, informs the General Police Inspectorate.

The police mention that the man is under criminal investigation in Israel for committing the crime of banditry and fraud.

According to the act issued by the General Inspectorate for Migration, the foreigner was declared undesirable for 5 years in the Republic of Moldova and handed over to the General Inspectorate of the Border Police to be returned to Israel.

The IGP says that a person can be declared undesirable if "he has carried out, is carrying out or there are solid indications that he intends to carry out activities likely to endanger national security or public order".

In the last 5 years, the General Inspectorate for Migration declared 584 foreign citizens undesirable for a period of 5 to 15 years.
