Construction materials released from the state reserve continue to be distributed in the districts affected by bad weather
Material goods released from the Material Reserve Agency were transported to Drochia this morning. It concerns 36 m3 of timber, announces the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
The goods are destined for the 17 localities in Edinet district for repair and construction works on residential houses, administrative and cultural buildings, which were damaged by the storms of 25-26 July 2023.
In the affected localities, the goods are distributed by IGSU rescuers and firefighters together with their colleagues from other subdivisions under the MAI and employees of the National Army.
The IGSU will also transport consignments of material goods to other districts affected by the storms, such as Soroca, Drochia, Rascani, Dondoseni and Hincesti.
Citizens who suffered from the torrential rains of 25 and 26 July will receive aid. Goods in the form of building materials - 64,677 corrugated sheets of slate for roofing and 493.2 m3 of timber, totalling more than 16 million lei - will be provided from the reserves. A decision to this effect was taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations and approved at yesterday's Cabinet meeting.
The goods will reach 74 localities in 6 districts of the country.
