Ukraine demining continues. Priority is given to land near residential blocks
Ukrainian divers continue to clear land. For example, several specialists are working to identify shells in a river in the town of Uman in the Cherkasy region. The region has been under Russian attack since the beginning of the war.

Although their work is risky, they argue that demining land, including rivers and lakes, is very necessary.
Contractor Volodimir Kosenko reports that his young colleagues were reluctant to enter the water.
"The boys were afraid. Of course they didn't want to go into the water because it's dangerous."
"If we don't notice anything with the naked eye, we start scanning with this device. If suspicious objects are detected, we start working with the metal detector. If it gives a signal, we start working immediately," says diver Anton Gaitan.
Alexandr Horobeț, head of directorate at the Emergency Service, says that the first priority actions of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service have been to clear land near residential blocks. The total area of the settlements is 32 thousand hectares.
Ukraine's State Emergency Service claims to have defused almost 38 thousand explosive objects in the region.
