Igor Grosu: In the name of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and these values, we must continue on the European path chosen by all of us
The Constitution of the Republic of Moldova is the supreme law that unites us in a sovereign and independent state, a people with equal rights and obligations, a people that respects democracy and human freedoms. This is the message delivered by the Speaker of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, on the day our country marks 29 years since the adoption of the supreme document.
The head of the legislature said that the values enshrined in the Constitution should guide us every day, especially when we have to make complicated decisions that will ensure a free and prosperous future.
Grosu also said that it is in the name of the Constitution and its values that we must continue on the European path chosen by us all.
The Constitution of the Republic of Moldova is the document with the greatest regulatory authority in the public, political and social life of the country. It is the symbol of the people's struggle for freedom, democracy and human rights. It reminds every citizen of the sacred duty to serve the homeland faithfully, to defend the unity, sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Moldova at all costs.
Adopted on 29 July 1994, the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova entered into force on 27 August 1994.
