UNDP will implement a new project worth one million dollars in the Republic of Moldova
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will implement a new project worth one million dollars in the Republic of Moldova. Thus, key reforms in the field of energy and digital transformation will be implemented.
"This support will contribute, at the same time, to strengthening resilience to crises, but also to boost the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals", said the UNDP resident representative in the Republic of Moldova, Daniela Gasparikova.
UNDP will also support the implementation of the recently approved Public Administration Reform Strategy of the Republic of Moldova for 2023-2030, which aims to strengthen the capacities of local public authorities to provide essential services, including in crisis situations.
It will also provide expertise to the Republic of Moldova in essential fields in the context of its status as a candidate country for EU accession and in the context of crises.
The project "Strengthening resilient development in Moldova through crisis anticipation and prevention and inclusive recovery", which will take place in 2023-2024, is financed through the UNDP Fund for Governance, Peacebuilding, Crisis and Resilience, thanks to the contributions of Denmark, Luxembourg, the Republic Korea and Sweden.
