A blood transfusion centre in Ukraine has been bombed. Kuleba: "Russia will not stop until it is stopped"

Russian forces have attacked the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkov region with a targeted aerial bomb. As a result, several people were injured and killed, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said.

"Defeating terrorists is a matter of honour for all those who value life," he added.

"Russia unleashed a new salvo of missiles on Ukraine on Saturday. Russia will not stop until it is stopped. The global community must focus on imposing a just and lasting peace: arming Ukraine, including with F-16s to close the skies and implementing Ukraine's peace formula," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba wrote on Twitter.

Russia has previously denied all allegations of war crimes or targeting civilians.

The city of Kupyansk and nearby settlements were captured by Russian troops in the early days of Moscow's full-scale invasion of Ukraine launched in February 2022.

The area was liberated during a lightning Ukrainian counteroffensive last September.

The Russian attacks come after Moscow accused Ukraine of striking a Russian ship with 11 crew members.
