Borș won the silver medal at the World Junior Championships

Moldovan freestyle wrestler Alexandru Borș has become vice world champion among juniors "under 17". At the competition in Istanbul, in the 80 kg weight category, our compatriot won against Adam Mizsei from Hungary, Daniel Simonian from Israel, Ismayil Asadli from Azerbaijan and Zackary Ryder from the USA.

In the final, Borș lost to Magomed Idrisov, playing under a neutral flag.

Also this year, Alexandru Borș won the gold medal at the European Junior Championships "under 17". At the World Junior Wrestling Championships in Istanbul, Moldova was represented by 14 athletes.
