Russia warns US of escalation with 'hard-to-foresee consequences'
Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoli Antonov said on Thursday that US actions lead to an escalation with 'hard-to-foresee consequences', a reference to Wednesday's support for Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelenski, during his visit to the American federal capital, reports Agerpres with reference to EFE.

"Despite our warnings, Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems will be sent to Kyiv," the Russian diplomat said, according to a statement released by the official Russian news agency TASS on the subject of Washington's announcement regarding the supply of this type of weapons to Ukraine.
Antonov pointed out that at all levels, Russia has reiterated its "calls for common sense and emphasises that the provocative actions of the US inevitably lead to an escalation with consequences that are hard to imagine."
"Thus, the debates regarding a hypothetical supply of ATACMS missiles and long-range drones to the Ukrainians are of deep concern," Antonov noted, referring to a type of weapon capable of attacking targets on Russian territory requested by Ukraine and which so far has been denied.
