Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, on a working visit to Chisinau

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Eli Cohen, is making a working visit to the Republic of Moldova on August 7-8, at the invitation of his counterpart, Nicu Popescu. The official's agenda also includes meetings with the country's president, Maia Sandu.

According to the MFAIE, the two ministers will hold a briefing tomorrow, starting at 10:50. Later, they will participate in the ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the victims of the Jewish ghetto.

The last visit of an Israeli Foreign Minister to Chisinau took place on September 3, 2011.

We remind you that diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and Israel were established in 1992. Over the years, 28 cooperation agreements were signed.
