Moldovan-Israeli cooperation, discussed by Maia Sandu and the head of diplomacy from Tel Aviv
The bilateral agenda, economic cooperation and security developments in our region were discussed by the head of state with the members of the Israeli state delegation, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eli Cohen.
Maia Sandu encouraged the boosting of the process of signing the bilateral agreement on legal cooperation on the civil and criminal side, which the Ministries of Justice of both countries are preparing.
The head of state also emphasized the importance of joint efforts in the fight against corruption.
They also talked about the extension of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the State of Israel regarding the temporary employment of workers from our country in Israel, but also about the developments regarding the bilateral signing of the Agreement on the conversion of driving licenses.
The president emphasized that the Republic of Moldova is interested in boosting cooperation in the agricultural sector in order to increase exports to the Israeli market. Also, Maia Sandu mentioned that we are interested in attracting investments from Israel in the field of production and processing of agricultural products. The interlocutors discussed the speeding of cooperation in the field of tourism, including the establishment of several direct flight routes.
