Zelensky and Recean discuss food transit, water Infrastructure
President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine and Prime Minister Dorin Recean of Moldova met in Kyiv on August 23 to discuss the transit of Ukrainian food through Moldovan territory and the development of water infrastructure.
The two leaders agreed to coordinate their efforts to integrate Ukraine and Moldova into the European Union. They also pledged to strengthen bilateral cooperation, including through increased trade, connectivity, and joint projects.
Zelensky thanked Moldova for its support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Recean said that Moldova's support for Ukraine remains unwavering.
Recean is leading a delegation of Moldovan ministers to Kyiv to attend the Crimea Platform summit. He is also scheduled to meet with his Ukrainian counterparts to discuss a range of bilateral issues.
