Dorin Recean: Independence means building our own future
Today, Moldova's prime minister, Dorin Recean, praised the country's hardworking people on Independence Day, saying that their efforts are building a stronger and more prosperous Moldova.
In a speech, Recean said that independence is not just about past events. It is about the hard work of every Moldovan who is contributing to the country's development.
"Today, when we look into each other's eyes, we see a people full of hope and determination to overcome obstacles and build a flourishing Moldova," Recean said. "Every Moldovan who wants to make a difference, every entrepreneur who invests their resources and creativity in business development, every artist who shares our cultural beauty with the world – you are the ones building our future."
Recean said that independence means being able to govern our own destiny and make decisions in the interests of our own prosperity.
"Today, at 32 years of independence, we look to the future with confidence, knowing that every step we take brings Moldova closer to our dream – a developed European country with prosperous citizens," Recean said. "Happy Independence Day, Republic of Moldova! Happy Independence Day, hard working people! Together we are building a European country that we can be proud of."
