Border Police denied entry to 13 foreign citizens
The General Inspectorate of the Border Police announces that on August 28, 2023, it denied entry to the Republic of Moldova to 13 foreign citizens. In total, 66,538 people crossed the border, with most of them entering the country (35,841).
"With regard to the crossing of the border by Ukrainian citizens, a total of 14,535 crossings were recorded, of which 6,982 were on the entry side to Moldova. At the same time, 2,975 were crossings of Ukrainian minors," the Border Police communiqué states.
The most requested border crossing points were those with Romania (40,263 crossings). The border with Ukraine was crossed by 14,554 people, and 11,721 others crossed the air border.

In 24 hours, border police recorded three illegal border crossings; 12 persons who violated the regime of border points and the border zone; two cases of illegal trafficking in goods; one falsified travel document; five foreign citizens violated the period of stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova; 29 violations of the rules for using the vignette and operating vehicles; three persons and one means of transport, identified with a national warrant.
