CSE: Ukrainians will cross the border of the Republic of Moldova under a facilitated regime
The Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) has established a facilitated regime for Ukrainian citizens to cross the state border. The decision is valid until February 1, 2023, during which time citizens of Ukraine will be able to cross the border even if their identity documents have expired.
On the eve of the winter holidays, the cases when the citizens of Ukraine, who took refuge in the countries of the European Union, return to Ukraine, transiting the territory of the Republic of Moldova, are increasing. A large part of Ukrainians do not have valid travel documents established by the regulatory framework, having only the identity documents with which they fled Ukraine. Accordingly, based on them, Ukrainian refugees will be able to enter and exit the territory of the Republic of Moldova. We remind you that since February 24, when the war in Ukraine began, traffic at the border intensified due to the large number of refugees who intended to leave the neighboring country. According to the Provision of the CSE, from December 22, starting with January 2023, normal conditions for carrying out transport from and to Ukraine will be back. According to the decision, from January the tax for using the roads is to be paid by all owners of vehicles that are not registered in the Republic of Moldova.
