The competition, which will test participants' knowledge of the Romanian language, will be held in the Square in front of the Maria Bieșu National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Chișinău.

"Starting at 9:30 a.m., in the Square in front of the Maria Bieșu National Opera and Ballet Theatre, participants will write a text selected from the 65 essays submitted to the essay contest "Why Moldova Must Be Part of the European Union." The winners will be awarded prizes in early September, and the authors of the best essays will collect their prizes at the event on August 31," Vodă said.

"We can honour the Romanian language by speaking it correctly, by reading and supporting writers who write in Romanian. We also thank all foreign citizens, tourists, and visitors who have also signed up for this event," Vodă added.
