Bilateral cooperation and the security situation in the region were discussed by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, with her German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
The Head of State expressed her gratitude for Germany's continuous support to our country, reiterated including in the recent Bundestag Resolution, through which German partners remain with us in this difficult period. President Maia Sandu appreciated Germany's openness, demonstrated both within the Support Platform for Moldova and during the head of state's visit to Berlin this fall. Likewise, the leader from Chisinau thanked Germany for helping us overcome the crises we face, especially the energy crisis. Thus, Germany recently granted 40 million euros for the Energy Vulnerability Fund, including for compensation to citizens and financing of energy efficiency projects.
