"Shor" party filed a referral to the Constitutional Court challenging the extension of the state of emergency
Deputies from the parliamentary faction of the "Shor" Political Party challenged the extension of the state of emergency, for another 60 days, at the Constitutional Court of Moldova (CCM). A referral to this effect was submitted on Friday, December 23.
According to the deputies, the state of emergency was unjustifiably extended, in violation of several articles of the Constitution. We remind you that the state of emergency in the Republic of Moldova was established at the beginning of the war in Ukraine, in February 2022. Since then, it has been extended several times, the last time at the beginning of December.
