Russian forces kill 16 in Donetsk market attack
Russian forces shelled the central market in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, killing at least 16 people and injuring 20 others.
“At this moment, the artillery of Russian terrorists killed 16 people in the city of Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region. An ordinary market. Shops. A pharmacy. People who did nothing. Many were injured. Unfortunately, the number of dead and injured may still increase,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.
The leader in Kiev expressed condolences to all those who lost loved ones and called for the need to defeat “Russian evil” as soon as possible.
“When someone in the world still tries to deal with something Russian, it means that they are turning a blind eye to reality. The audacity of evil. The audacity of cowardice. Inhumanity on a grand scale,” Zelensky added.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that a child was among the 16 killed. At least 20 people were also injured.
