Chisinau will host the 4th meeting of the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova: Two development funds will also be discussed
The support needs for the Republic of Moldova, in the context of the crises caused by Russia's war in Ukraine, will be analyzed during the 4th meeting of the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova, Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced in a briefing. The event will take place on October 17 and will bring together representatives of over 30 countries and international organizations.
"This year, the Government will discuss with more than 30 countries and international organizations, the support that is necessary both for covering budget expenses related to salaries, pensions, etc., for the support of the socially vulnerable. Also, we will discuss two development funds for the Republic of Moldova so that we can recover from the losses from the economic decline, and start a path of development and economic growth", declared the Prime Minister.
According to him, one fund is for infrastructure development and the second is an energy transition, energy independence and environmental change adjustment fund.
"We will focus on the part that refers to energy efficiency, the transition to renewable energy, but also the necessary programs for our economy, especially agriculture, to adjust to climate change", says Dorin Recean.
At the previous meetings, the Prime Minister says that the Republic of Moldova received support for compensating the expenses in the bill, to help farmers with free diesel and infrastructure projects.
