FMI mission in Chisinau to support Moldovan economic reforms
A mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is in Chisinau, Moldova, to discuss the country's budget, macroeconomic outlook, and European integration. The mission, led by Clara Mira, will be in Chisinau until October 6.
"The agenda of the discussions included aspects related to the budget situation, macroeconomic perspectives, cooperation with the IMF in the process of supporting Moldova's European path, and other topics of common interest," the Moldovan Ministry of Finance said in a statement.
During the visit, the IMF mission will hold a series of working meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Finance to analyse recent developments and progress made in implementing the government's program.
The IMF mission will also discuss the fourth review of the program supported by the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) and Extended Fund Facility (EFF), as well as the request by the authorities to provide support to Moldova under the new Resilience and Sustainability Financing Mechanism (RSF).
Recommendations on the implementation of the program will be made after the mission.
